Andi Mascarenas

“Capturing the essences is what challenges me creatively: the unspoken word, the space between thoughts, body language, a quick glance, a mind that reaches its self; a place more inside the outside”.

Andi Mascarenas is an accomplished sculptor and oil painter. Her sculptures capture emotion and grace. The loose quality of her work reflects a near impressionistic style creating movement and energy. She forms her

sculptures with bronze and earth clays. Earth clay, with its quick and spontaneous quality, is ideal for capturing gesture when sculpting the human figure.”

“Under the Canopy” was inspired by many nights of stargazing. Under the brilliant night sky I am able to see the Milky Way, Orion and many glistening stars from my home in the Rockies. “I always pick a star to dream with”.

“Release” is about letting go of the world, falling into myself for a moment of respite and a way of letting go of myself and finding peace.

“Quiet Spaces” are all the quiet spaces between

relationships that are blessed and unconditional.

The quiet spaces within myself and between-myself.
